Suggest Treatment For A Rupture In The Spleen

Hi there, I got stepped on by a horse about a year ago and ruptured my spleen. The doctors rated it as a number 3 injury. They decided not to remove the spleen. I am a ver physical worker and ever since I was stepped on my side hurts. Sometimes all i have to do is drive down a bumpy road and it will hurt. sometimes it hurts to the touch and it kepps me up at night. Please let me know what might be wrong and what I can do about it. Thanks

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can.

I think that splenectomy is a reasonable option since grade 3 was serious injury and your pain is probably related to this. So you should consult surgeon about further treatment.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
