My Dear

Welcome to Healthcaremagic!
I have studied your symptoms and accompanying details.

I think that your husband in all probability suffered from either an insect bite or allergy to some chemical that now seems to have settled.

for any such patient at the current phase of disease it is advisable to use Hydrocortisone cream along with an anti allergic like Levocetirizine 5 mg daily.
No investigations are called for and it should heal fast especially if the patch is light.
