Suggest Treatment For A Sore Under The Tongue Causing Difficulty In Swallowing

I have a sore under mt tongue. it is not a bump/cancore sore. In my words it looks like a stick popping out connected to the line on the bottom of my tongue. It hurts really bad I can hardly swallow without a shooting pain. I have had this happen before but it usually goes away over a period of 10-15 minutes. Today it has been there for hours

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query sore under the tongue causing difficulty in swallowing could be due to swelling of swelling gland, salivary stone at base of tongue mainly submandibular gland. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test , throat swab test along with other test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics ( amoxicillin and penicillin ) at least for 10 days along with vitamin supplements to boost the immunity. Maintain oral hygiene. Drink plenty of water.
