Suggest Treatment For A Swollen And Painful Lump On The Neck

My daughter (29) awoke at 3am to urinate and upon returning to her room she fainted and hit her head (on right side near her ear) on the bookcase. She was alone and she stayed awake for fear of a concussion. The next morning she noticed a very large golf ball size lump/swelling near her adam s apple of her neck. That was yesterday. Today, the lump appears to be smaller. I just found out today. Does she need medical attention, CT Scan??

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
She has history of head injury. She has hematoma formation. If she don't have any other symptoms then no need to worry. If she has headache, vomiting, imbalance or other problems then ct scan is needed. But it needs examination whether she need ct can or not. So consult your doctor and go for examination once. Analgesic plus anti inflammatory drugs are sufficient to reduce pain and swelling. Consult your doctor and plan accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
