I have been feeling a bit off lately. I had my tubes tied 10 years ago but My last menstration was not as heavy as normal or as long. I have been getting really dizzy and lightheaded, nauseated, and my stomach feels like its kinda bloated but tight as well as my pants feel tight. I don t eat a lot as nothing really sounds good. I took a HPT it was negative what else could cause this?

Hello,

Firstly, I would summarised whatever you told:
1. You had surgery of fallopian tubes (tubectomy).
2. Currently suffering from abdominal bloating, nausea and dizziness.
3. Normal food habit

In my opinion, before I tell you something, you need to do some tests. The bloating, nausea and dizziness can also be due to hormonal imbalances. I would also like to know about the age and sexual history of yours.

Anyway, I would like to suggest some tests:
1. Complete Blood Test
2. Estrogen and Progesterone Blood levels
3. Abdominal X-Ray

Meanwhile, you can use these medicines:
1. Promethazine 25 mg every 6 hour for nausea.
2. For bloating, you can take simethicone

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta, General & Family Physician
