Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain After Artificial Insemination
Hi, my name is samantha im 28 years old, last thursday i was artificial inseminated, the same day i had abdominal pain, and some low back pain too. the pain last for 4 days, now i dont have it at all. my question is: is this normal after the AI??
Hi Ms. Samantha, After any procedure on the pelvic organs, it is usual for some after pains to exist. This could be due to the positions adopted during the procedure, the result of instrumentation, the spasm of tubal movements and so on. If the pain has subsided on its own with no further exacerbation, it may be ignored. If not, please contact your consultant for further evaluation and management. Also, watch out for any spotting or bleeding through the vagina. Maintain good rest, avoid sexual intercourse and follow up at the time of the expected period. Hope this helps.
