Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain, Diarrhea And Nausea

It is currently friday, ever since monday I have had a stomach (abdominal) pain which has gotten more worse each and every day. With the abdominal pain came diarreha and lots of bloody diarreha and maroon colorrr stool which really bothered me. On the monday that it started, my whole family went out for fruit smoothies.... that gave us all stomach pain and diarreha but everyones only lasted a day ... but mine is still here and im losing lots of blood... I also feel nautiaus... I went to the emergency room yesterday and they took blood samples from my arm and told me everything semmed fine and to take tylenol for thr stomach pain, gravol for nausia and drink lots of fluids... but all this pain and blood has me terrified!! Im only 21!

Hi,

Can you mention the blood tests done and their reports? Stool examination also done?

Bloody diarrhea indicates dysentery, which usually needs antibiotic treatment also, but your doctor might have deferred it seeing blood reports. For such cases, I used to give antibiotics like cefixime 200 mg twice daily for 5 days, along with paracetamol, probiotcs and ORS solution.

If you are not having fever, not feeling dizzy and vomiting is controlled, just continue given drugs for 2 days and see the response. Take plenty of oral fluids like ORS solution after each stools to prevent dehydration.

If not getting down in 2 days, the amount of blood is large / with clots, kindly review with your doctor once again.
