Hello I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Menstrual bleeding that last for more than a week, a number of causes leads to prolonged menstrual bleeding. Causes include hormonal imbalance, fibroids, DUB, birth control pills or device, thyroid dysfunction, ovarian cyst and even metastatic changes in reproductive tract. It is better to consult a gynecologist to get examined and diagnosed for the underlying cause. The earlier the cause is diagnosed the better, treatment depends on the patient condition and severity of cause. Good luck. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
