Suggest Treatment For Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding While On Implanon

hello, im having a rather embarrassing problem with my menstrual cycle... i am currently using implanon as my birth control and have been having unusual bleeding.. i bleed for weeks at a time and the blood isn't red or blood-like at all... it looks like old blood. i went to the doctors a while ago and tey sent me home and said it was because of the implanon implant in my arm and that my body will get used to it....but im due to have it taken out and replaced on the 13/08/12 and have been having problems since they put it in on the 13/08/09 this unusual bleeding has caused me so much upset it has ruined my confidence my relationship and my sex life and made me constantly worry that i have cancer but it is a nightmare to get an appointment at my local doctors if you could possibly do anything to help out i would be grateful.
