Suggest Treatment For Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding

I have been bleeding for 3 months now and I dont know what is wrong with me. I went to see an OB and he did ultrasound and I am not pregmant, he did a biopsy and nothing was found. He told me I need to loose weight and put me on trial birth control pills for a month. I took the pilld and it went away for a month and went right back to the same again. now I got it one month normal and then for 3 months now non stop, now all of a sudden my heart is hurting as well with sharp pains. I have lost 40 punds and I still keep having the same problem what is wront with me?
