Suggest Treatment For Abscess Under Skin After Treated Impetigo

I have been diagnosed with impetigo and I am currently taking oral antibiotic for this for 10 days Clindamydin 300 mg every 6 hours. Although the area on my face has healed significantly, I have one area on the face that is warm to the touch and feels like there is abcess under the skin. I have noticed as well, that I am running a mild fever at night now. I am worried that this could have developed into MRSA.

hello
Thanks for the query
A 10 days course of antibiotics should have given you a relief.
the infection still persists as you mentioned there is still redness tenderness and fever.
A change of antibiotic might be considered at this stage.
I suggest you to go for blood culture.
This will help in finding out the exact organism and based on the sensitivity report exact antibiotic can be used.
Try hot fomentation this will help in accumulation of pus which can be drained at a later stage.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
