Suggest Treatment For Accidental Cut On Thumb

Good evening, i just wanted to know if you could please help me with this situation. yesterday at about 4 pm a person I known cut its finger while trying to open an aluminum can. the cut was in the thumb and it is about the length of the whole thumb, the person did not want to go to the doctor so we just told them to warp it in a gauze after cleaning it. but today when we spoke again, the person had changed the gauze and while in the process the cut started bleeding again (a little not as much as yesterday) is this normal? and what do you think we should do.

The dressing should be done by using an ointment or cream; the gauze would not stick to wound and there won't be any bleeding. Bleeding is normal. Have antibiotics to check infection.
