Suggest Treatment For Accidental Ingestion Of High Doses Of Vitamin B12

I just took 4000mcg of b12 accidently. I had a physical earlier today at my Dr. office which is now closed and I meant to take 4000mcg of vitamin D3. should I call poison control? I also just ate a full meal and took my normal allergy medicine of Alavert for seasonal allergies. shall I be really worried?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There will not be any adversity. It is water-soluble vitamin and extra amounts are excreted in urine. Don't worry at all.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
