Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of itching, tiredness, discomfort in right rib cage area, feeling sick for 3 weeks, liver enzymes raised hence referred to Gastroenterologist,
ultrasound, increasing enzyme levels, planned for MRI and liver FNAC, itching is extreme and there is
acid reflux and nausea, wants to know what they are looking for
liver biopsy and whether the reflux is related to elevated enzymes...
From the history you have provided this looks to be
hepatitis and may not be related to the spot on liver as such things do not increase liver enzymes too much.
MRI of the liver will tell more about the spot in liver whether this is
hemangioma or abscess or a mass. And the biopsy called FNAC will be done only if thought proper to be done without complications.
For this the prothrombine time should be done.
Get the proper treatment and investigations for knowing the exact cause of jaundice, get appropriate treatment for the symptoms of itching, nausea and acid reflux, which are due to the hepatitis with increased liver enzymes.
