Suggest Treatment For Acid Reflux

I am 31, in shape, exercise, have stopped drinking soda, eating sugar, eating past 8, and have been on PPIs for 2 weeks, drink gaviscon nightly. I still have reflux burning sensation every minute of the day. I have an appointment in a week, anything I can do to help that I haven t tried. Is it worth going to an urgent care for a GI cocktail?

I can understand your concern.

Do not worry much.

I would suggest you to
1. Continue with your healthy lifestyle.
2. I would start the PPIs twice daily
3. I would also start Mucaine gel to soothe the heart burn
4. Get a blood hemoglobin,total count ,platelet count done.
5. Get an upper GI endoscopy down to find out the actual cause if there is some ulcer or gastritis .
