Suggest Treatment For Acid Reflux

I have no gallbladder and have been taking vitacost maga digestive enzymes/pancreatin 10x for yrs. A friend told me I should be taking ox bile to help with digestion. Took first 125mg cap today and got direaha 3 x so far. Making me think I don t need to take the ox bile????? I also have acid reflux.

Hello,

There is no need to take enzyme supplement unless you have pancreatic insufficiency. I think you may be suffering from post cholicystectomy syndrome with GERD.

Use tablet nexium before breakfast for one week. elevate the head end of bed while sleeping. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Use soft diet with probiotics. if symptoms not improved please consult your gastroentrologist he will do upper GI endoscopy, serum amylase and lipase then treat you accordingly.
