Suggest Treatment For Acne On Cheek And Nose

I ve been using new makeup which contains hyaluronic acid for a couple of weeks and now have what looks like either an aggravation of latent rosacea , or an acne breakout on my cheeks and nose. I m 67 and only have a single, very occasional pimple if I put on too much moisturizer. Usually these go away quite quickly if I use DHC Acne Spot Tx. But these are very stubborn and not going away. I checked the makeup s massive ingredient list, and didn t see anything else that could obviously be the culprit like oils, shea butter, etc. So I suspect it s the HA, as I ve never used makeup before with HA in it, and never had this reaction.

Hallow Dear,

You have very rightly pointed out the culprit. Since it started with hyaluronic acid, you can blame it as the causative agent. Please discontinue using hyaluronic acid.

Never ever use any sorts of creams on the face if they are giving you even occasional pimple. Avoid applying hair oil. Keep your face dry and clean. Frequent washing of the face with neutral soap is a good practice.

The current 'so called pimples' on your face appear to be a rash due to allergy to hyaluronic acid cream. So after discontinuing its use, you may apply mild betnovate cream for a day or two. Probably the rash will go within a day or two. If there are white spots on the rash, you may have to apply antibiotics cream.

If you do not get relief within a couple of days, please do not pull on with the treatment. Report to the Skin specialist.

I hope you are satisfied with the advice.
