Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
Acne can sometimes continue for years and even decades. Oily skin is a particularly prone to develop acne.
Various other factors like stress, diet, change of weather, oily cosmetics and sunscreens can cause a flare up of acne.
Since you seem to have inflammatory acne, i would suggest
Oral antibiotics e.g Doxycycline ,
Azithromycin, Or
Minocycline to bring down the inflammatory flare.
Topical treatment also should be started together with Oral treatment. I would suggest topical
benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel for active acne during days time.
At night you may use a topical retinoid e.g adapalene over the whole affected area. Topical Retinoids are comedolytic and are also useful for maintenance treatment.
Chemical peeling is an adjuvant to Topical and Oral treatment and a few sessions of chemical peeling once every 2 weeks would add up to overall response.
Chemical peel have multiple benefits like acne control, oil control, and help fades away the dark spots left over by acne etc
I suggest you to visit a
dermatologist who will assess the severity of your acne and advice accordingly.
