Suggest Treatment For Acne Scars And Facial Hair

I am 37, diagnosed with PCOS and have mild acne marks but want clear the facial hair urgently . I have no children and the dermatologist has prescribed Minerva, I have no yet started the Minerva as I have never been on a pill before. I am taking 500mg metformin(glucophage) every evening. What should I do about the facial hair and acne marks , should I take the pill? Are there any other options. Will the pill affect me from ever falling pregnant as I already have PCOS?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

For scars and facial hairs, laser will be the best option. Consult a dermatologist specialized in cosmetics and he will direct you accordingly. You can also try topical steroids like Triamcinolone also.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
