Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Acne is a chronic and recurrent skin condition. It can persist with varying intensity for years. The severity usually goes down with age.
Treatment should be appropriate to the severity of acne Or else they may not be adequately controlled leaving behind scars.
You seem to have inflammatory acne i.e acne that is red, painful, pustular or nodular and tends to scar.
If I was the treating doctor I would have started you on Oral antibiotics for your inflammatory acne. Oral antibiotics that are useful in acne doxycycline, minocycline, lymecycline etc.
Oral antibiotics may be continued for 4-12 weeks depending on the severity and response to treatment.
Besides oral treatment, topical antiacne treatment comprises topical antibiotics like clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoids like adapalene, tretinoin etc.
Once acne activity is well controlled, topical retinoids may still be continued for maintenance of improvement on account of the comedolytic properties of topical retinoids.
I suggest you to visit a dermatologist in your vicinity. Your dermatologist will assess the severity of your acne and advice accordingly.
You may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your treating dermatologist. Salicylic acid chemical peeling is particularly useful for acne.
