Suggest Treatment For Acne

I m 24 years old and 5 3. Within the past few years I ve been dealing with acne, but ever so often I m getting a different type of acne. At first, It looks like a pimple with blood in it (since it looks dark), and when it pops, it looks like flesh is sticking out of the pimple. I don t know what to do and I m worried that it will leave scars/holes on my face.

Hi,

I can understand your concern for complicated acne lesions. You seem to have inflammatory type of acne. The lesions might become infected with bacteria leading to acne pustulosa. You may be having genetic tendency for acne. And there may many factors to precipitate or exacerbate the acne lesions...like stress, anxiety, oily food, dandruff, seborrhoea, drugs like steroid, hormonal imbalance ..etc

I suggest following line of treatment in my patients...

- antibiotic like minocycline or azithromycine in proper dose
- low dose of isotretinoin
- application of clindamycine gel
- cleansing with antiseptic like cetaphil

Please avoid all factors responsible for the acne. Have patience for the result. Take treatment under observation of dermatologist.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
