Suggest Treatment For Acute Kidney Infection And Cystitis

My husband suffered from acute kidney infection/ cystitis( 2years back.His serum creatinine had been 1.8 mg/dl then.He recovered after that. The ultrasound on follow up revealed cortical scarring.He is on Telmisartan 40.His serum creatinine is varying between 1.4 to 1.5.This time ,two days back it was 1.6 mg where the normal is stated to be upto 1.5 mg.Always his value had been .1 mg above the stated normal cut off value.Iam a medical doctor and puzzled.Hope he is not having CKD.He is 79.

I really appreciate your concern, if the creatinine value being fluctuating then it means there could be something in renal area and paranchymal disease would be likely and such condition need to be further investigated for underlying disease, hope this information helps, take care.
