Suggest Treatment For Acute Pain Near The Navel Area

Since last night I have had an acute pain on my left side about 3 inches down from my ribs and 3 inches over from my belly button. Last night it was come and go and for the most part of today, now it is almost constant. Sometimes it shoots across the entire width of my body. Any ideas?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Acute pain on left side of abdomen can occur due to various causes.
An abdominal ultrasound is required to know the status of abdominal organs.
Pain on left side of abdomen can be due to splenomegaly, intestinal spasm, mesenteric vessel involvement, omental involvement, etc.
A clinical assessment and abdominal ultrasound are required to know the status of abdominal organs.
Further treatment can be planned after clinical assessment and relevant investigations.
In case, the abdominal pain is associated with diarrhea, there is a possibility of gastrointestinal tract (GIT) infection.

Thanks and take care
