Suggest Treatment For Acute Pancreatitis

My mother is 55 years old. She is suffering from acute pancreatitis from the last 5 years. Doctors have recommended her to be on strict diet with no fatty food. she is taking panlipase or creon as medication. she has lost 10 kg in 6 months and also she is getting weak day by day. I want to know what will be the possible treatment for her from now on and what will be the expected life of her as there is no permanent solution for pancreatitis.

General Surgeon 's  Response
It is very possible that your mother has chronic calcific pancreatitis, and not acute pancreatitis since past 5 years. If diet and medical management is not helpful, pain can be relieved by a Chemical Lumbar Sympethectomy. The next level of management is surgery and removal of the most affected part of the pancreas.
