My husband is so addicted to nose spray, he can t breath without it. Is there a medication he can get on to help him loose the nose spray? Also today he went to a chiropractor to be adjusted because he has been having headaches for a while mostly when he gets up in the morning, stiff neck and shoulders. The chiropractor couldn t adjust him because his blood pressure was so high, going to a medicial doctor tomorrow. Can his blood pressure cause him headaches? Thanks, Marie Owens
May I to know which type of nasal spray he is using? If he is using nasal saline drops, then it is alright. It does not harm him.
But if you are using Xylometazoline drops, then on long term use it may cause nasal polyp, nasal dryness. So, you can replace with nasal saline drops.
Along with that take steam inhalation twice a day and keep yourself warm. Another part that is, high blood pressure is one of the cause of headache.
I will suggest you to review here with detailed history or consult with the physician. Reduce salt intake in diet, do daily exercise for 30 to 45 minutes and take high fiber diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
