Suggest Treatment For Adenoids As An Alternative To Surgery

Doctor sir, my son, age 7.5 has been become a patient of adinoid for the last 3-4 years and gets acute problem in the winter. ENT doctor advised for surgery. He is also a patient of epilepsy and taking medicine regularly for the last 4-5 years. I would request you to kindly advise me that is there any type of treatment for adenoids other than surgery. Kindly advice.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Adenoid hyperplasia can be managed by surgery alone.
Adenoids cause symptoms due to blockade of upper respiratory tract like nasal congestion and infection.
The symptoms can be controlled by using anti-histaminics and antibiotics.
Surgical removal is the definitive treatment for adenoid hyperplasia.
I suggest you to consult your ENT specialist for clinical assessment and plan surgery.
