Suggest Treatment For Advanced Parkinson S Disease And Walking Difficulty

My husband has advanced parkinson disease and is 91 years old. He leans toward low blood pressure. Lately is seems to drop after he gets up. Today it was 80/40 at the drs office. The dr prescribed fludrocortisone to bring it up. I am concerned about side effects. He is having extreme difficulty walking now how will this Effect his muscles, he is already weak. He also has dementia due to parkinson, will that get worse. From what I have read, this does not look like a medicine he should be on. I have been giving him salted crackers and raising his blood pressure. Is there any natural ways to raise his pressure?

Hi,

Post rotator cuff surgery, nerve damage is noted in about 1 to 2% of patients. Also, infection, stiffness are common after the surgery. If any patients have carpal tunnel syndrome prior to surgery, Postoperative immobilisation with sling can exacerbate this condition.
- It takes 4-6 months for complete recovery with a sling for 4-6 weeks + physiotherapy + analgesics
- If carpal tunnel syndrome, then cold compress, analgesics, Inj. Hydrocortisone locally into the carpel tunnel to reduce swelling and pain.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
