sir can i treat patient who has addicted in alcohol.he had under gone an angioplasty one year ago??after the angioplasty he did not use alcohol for 6 months.after 6 months he started that habbit and now he is using minimum 4 days in a week.now he is 50 year old man
hi dear as your pt is undergone angioplasty so he must be away fron alcohol as alcohol also lead to narrowing of artery. for alcohol deaddiction start benzodiazipin and thymin supplemenation and after withdrwal over start anticraving drugs or aversive therapy like disulfiram therapy. fisrt of all what is the reason behind again starting of alcohol. also see the liver profile.. thank you.
