Hello
Thanks for Contacting HCM.

In most of the cases of viral rhinitis(Allergic cold) the symptoms subsided by itself after a few days which ranges from 5-7 days. Most of the time only symptomatic treatment along with rest is advised. In your case i would recommend you to try following things:

1. Take Tab. Zanlan 10 mg (Cetirizine) {you might find it with different name in your area but you can ask for this specific salt} x 1 at night before sleep for 5 days

2. Syp. Hydralin DM (Diphenhydramine + Dextromethorphan) x 1 table spoon two times a day or 3 times a day if cough is severe.

3. Take medium hot water & add 1 table spoon of salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with that water twice a day. This will also provide soothing effect to your throat and help relieving the symptoms soon.

Avoid:
Cold water, Soft drinks , spicy food as it will prolong the disease.

Hope you will get well soon..

Thank You
