I was trying to dry the Mint leaves. I put them in the sunlight overdays. It dried and then i started consuming it. While i was consuming i notice som white stuff that was stick to the leaves went into my mouth. As soon as it was chewed i felt something strange. My mouth was totally tasteless and inside cheeks were red. most of the time i feel strange taste in my mouth and i feel that it is infected badly. Over days i am also feeling sometimes that i will vomit, then i eat something and it gives me little relief. If possible you can suggest some treatment for that. Thanks in advance.
Actually you might have eaten diseased mint leaves. That's why the taste and color altered. You will be having some side effects like nausea, abdominal pain and bad taste in mouth.
The following are few tips you can follow to reduce the effects: 1) Drink plenty of water 2) Take tab. Ondansetron 4mg once daily to prevent vomiting and reduce nausea. 3) Take tab. Pantop once daily before food to prevent gastric irritation. 4) Eat healthy diet. 5) If abdominal pain is severe, you can take a tab. Buscopan.
If your symptoms don't subside, then you can meet a physician in person for further evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
