Suggest Treatment For Allergic Insect Bite

I have an insect bite with red around it. It is itchy and I had a sharp pain like a nerve pain in the area about an hour ago. Also, I had a lot of pain in the joint in my little finger. Is this an insect bite that needs to be treated and is it possible that it could cause lyme disease?

Hi and welcome to HCM,
Insect bites are really annoying as they cause a lot of pain and itching.
I would advise you to keep the area clean by washing twice daily with plain water. In case of severe itching, an oral anti allergic like fexofenadine or levocetrizine can be taken once a day. And you can also apply a cream preparation containing betamethsone and fusidic acid over it twice a day.
