Suggest Treatment For An Abscess Filled With Pus
i had an abscess lanced with pus coming out and 2 days later went back and it was still hard so doctors made an incision again, however no pus came out. Doctor packed the incision and said I may need surgery to remove the hardened tissue. i am wondering what the medical term for this is and the likelihood of having to get surgery. i was told to do warm compresses and return to doctors in 2 days.

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the abscess formation then it need to be drained surgically in my opinion it is better to follow the advise given by surgeon, it is nothing to worry everything will be done in nice way hope this information helps.
