Suggest Treatment For An Orange Seed Stuck In Epiglottis
Hi, I tried to swallow and orange seed and I think it has lodged in the epiglottis. No amount of swallowing seems to help dislodge it. I found that swallowing air and regurgitating did seem to move it somewhat, but it has managed to become even more lodged. It s starting to become very uncomfortable. I m afraid that a seed will take a long time to breakdown. Could i end up with epiglottitus and how can I dislodge it?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have orange seed stuck in epiglottis which seems to be act as foreign body there and causes spread of infection as it leads to microbes growth there.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination without any delay and get fiber optic scan examination done to find out exact location of obstruction and start treatment accordingly. do warm saline rinses several times a day and eat one or two bananas . Take ibuprofen and proper course of antibiotics and along with that try to have liquid diet and keep your head elevated while laying down.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
