Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

This is normal and the pain ought to improve after the first few days. I suggest you concentrate on soft foods:
-pudding
-mashed potatoes
-yogurt
-Jell-O
-white bread

Liquids:
-cool soups
-liquid nutritional supplement (e.g. Ensure)
-apple, pear juice

Smoking will make your asthma worse. If a person who has asthma gets flu, it is usually worse that if a person who does not have asthma gets flu. In the USA it is now the beginning of flu season. Please get your flu shot.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Arnold Zedd,
Pediatrician
