Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a lot of right ankle pain this last week. It felt like I was walking on stilts. I thought maybe I had a stress fracture as I am overweight and flat footed. Today I did a lot of cleaning and on my foot a lot and have severe pain. IN 2000 I had a Pulmonary embolism. Is it possible to have a clot in my ankle. 3 days ago while walking in the kitchen I felt like something hit me hard in the lower rib area on the right and it took my breathe away just for a little while. Feel better now but ankle really hurts. Took Naprosyn 1 grm for pain
hi get an X ray done for the ankle region in my opinion you may be right, it could be due to overweight and flat foot too. you had once pulmonary embolism and you are overweight, not doing exercise there are chances you might have developed deep vein thrombosis which is quite common in calf veins immediately rush to your doctor for further examination and a series of lab tests to reach a proper diagnosis. hope this information will help you Regards Dr BR Hudda
