Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a family member who has had anxiety and panic disorder. He is a highly gifted person with a high IQ. He is also a perfectionist & has a goal of becoming an investment banker on Wall Street. He is struggling with some traumatic things that have happened to him in the last several years and feels like his life is out of control. He is currently in his first semester of college in a large city. He feels very alone in the world. He feels like an outcast where he is at because it is a very wealthy area and he comes from a small modest town. Not to mention that he started spring semester and not fall so everyone has already formed their friendships. He recently suffered a concussion and is having a little bit of issues still with that. He doesn t want to talk with anyone. What can I do to help him?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, if this the concussion then it has to be sent for CT brain, for the rest of anxiety and functional elements moral support some time gives good result, else the only option remained is psychiatrist opinion there he may have to go for counselling, hope this information helps.
