Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an anxiety attack and used a small plastic blade from a laptop cooling fan that broke off to scratch words into my upper leg, it isn't hurting and it wasn't deep enough to hurt much or make it bleed. I put some lotion on on it and used a big bandage to cover most of it. My question is, how do I prevent the scratched in words from scarring?
I went through your details. I suggest you not to worry much. This question is not really anxiety related one. But I wish to clarify. Yours was not anxiety attack but simply adrenaline rush which happens whenever body feels itself at some sort of danger.
Scars after wounds are normal. Appearance of scars is quite usual after every injury. But the duration of scar permanence depends on the depth of the sound. Body creates several layers of skin over a period of time so as to bring the area at par with the surrounding area. Mild scars will disappear within weeks. You cannot prevent scars from forming.
I can help you in this aspect. Psychotherapy techniques should suit your requirement. If you require more of my help in this aspect, Please post a direct question to me in this URL. http://goo.gl/aYW2pR. Make sure that you include every minute details possible. I shall prescribe the needed psychotherapy techniques.
Hope this answers your query. Available for further clarifications. Good luck.
