Suggest Treatment For Anxiety Related Insomnia

My father is suffering from anxiety related insomnia . He is 85 with glaucoma CADwith stents placement , prostate issues. He has been on citalopram for 3 weeks with minimal change . He wants a sleeping tablet instead . Would mirtazapine be an option?

The best option here is to talk to the doctor who is treating your father mainly because many anxiety medicines can interact with the present medicines your father is taking. Therefore I suggest consulting your fathers doctor for treatment.
