Suggest Treatment For Arrythmia And Excessive Belching

Hi, im 24 y/o with arrythmia for 8 months now. I am also experiencing excessive belching for 10 months. I went to the hospital for check up, they let me have ECG, CBC and T3T4 test. The doctor said all are normal. Ive been used to these skipping beats and burps but im still curious what case do i have. Can you help me to find this out? Thanks!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there.
In a youngster like you who I'm assuming is in good health otherwise the skipped beats or temporary palpitations are most likely going to be due to a Mitral Valve Prolapse which is quite a common condition and usually benign.
Now I'm fairly sure that the belching/burping is not related to that and is mostly due to increased acid production along with reflux of stomach contents.
You can try medications like Proton Pump Inhibitors like Esomeprazole 40 mg or Pantoprazole 40 mg or Rabeprazole 20 mg along with Domperidone 30 mg (once in the morning on an empty stomach about 30 min before breakfast for about 2 weeks).
Hope this helps.
