Suggest Treatment For Arthritis And Pain On The Temple
hi, I have a pain on my left temple that is very sharp once touched, my doctor said it could be a arthritis pain the the nerve, and I have had this headache pain for a few years.the doctor told me to have a teporo artery biopsy done. I take several meds a do to other medical conditions I have . they say my health is to bad to do surgery however I asked himwhat if they found something how would they treat it, he told me with more steroids on top of some I m taking now for other things. do you have any output in this pain I m feeling. it started out as a size of a pee and nnow ite about 2 inches in length, hasn t risen and higher just more spread out..but at touch it really hurts terrible and then after it goes up the side of my head to the top for a few minutes before it settles back in place. I notice that it has really bothered my eye condition and cant see as well as I use too.. my dr told me that if I don t have this biopsy done that I could go blind all together
this condition can be giant cell arthritis also known as takayasu arteritis.in this condition the temporal artery gets inflammed and causes severe pain in the temporal region or temporal headache. it can be diagnosed by taking biopsy of the artery. it can be relived by taking steroids and NSAIDs.
