General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, these symptoms are possibly due to cortisone shot but the chances are also possible that there is flu or some other problem for the said symptoms.
Hence it is best to check with your Family physician and get a clinical evaluation and get investigated to get the cause and get treated accordingly.
Intra-articular steroids usually do not cause such problems as it is not very well absorbed from the joint space.
Secondly get an opinion of an Orthopedic Surgeon and get MRI of the shoulder to know the exact cause so that appropriate management can be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
