Suggest Treatment For Articular Fissure And Chrondomalacia

hI, I am an Air Force nurse working in ICU. I have had TERRIBLE knee pain and I was told I have a full thickness articular fissure and chrondomalacia in the patellar. I have tried strengthening the muscle, Nsaids, pain medicine and everything. I received 4 hyalgen shots and felt relief for 1 week but now the joint is locking and hurts badly, especially after a 12 hour shift. Should I seek medical discharge and if I proceed with a scope will that help me continue my job as a critical care nurse?? HELP
