Suggest Treatment For Asbestosis In Lungs Of A Diabetic

Hi, my father is ill with mrsa and has abestosis in his lungs also diebetic doctors say his kidneys are deterateing. this is the second time we go through this tremedous painful watching of my fathers downfall health wise does this is there any hope for recovery? or what can be done?

I can understand your concern.
Diabetes and asbestosis (lung involvement by asbestos) make lung defense weak.
So patients are more prone for lung infections like MDR (MultiDrug Resistance) pathogens, tuberculosis etc.
MDR infection also causes septicemia and kidney failure.
So best treatment is to cure lung infection.
So get done bronchoscopy and BAL (bronchoalveolar lavage) culture and sensitivity report.
Sensitivity report will guide about effective antibiotic treatment.
Once this infection is cured, vaccinate him with pneumococcal and influenza vaccine to prevent recurrent respiratory tract infection.
