Suggest Treatment For Asthma In A Child

My 7 year old son has had athma attacks in the past... this evening he was exhausted, and coughing but claimed not to be struggling to breathe - though his ribcage was going up and down rapidly. He fell asleep early and is sleeping now but I ve noticed the viens around his mouth are blue and his breathing seems quite rapid and shallow. He left his ventolin inhaler at school but he used the Symbicort inhaler before going to bed. I m worried that he might get lots worse in the night - particularly as he is lying flat - should I wake him, or just leave him to sleep, try to prop him up... I plan to see a doctor in the morning with him but in the mean time I am worrying

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. The bluish coloration could be due to insufficient oxygen. You can give him warm coffee which will ease his breathing. Giving benadryl or cetirizine syrup will be helpful also. If still he has difficulty and there is no inhaler available better to approach ER to get a nebulization.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
