Dear Doc. My Son is 2year and 2month old having 13kg in weight is suffering from Asthama . from last one and half year. Earlier we had nemolize with different medicine as per doctor advice. once we nemolised for three days he will be fine but after few weeks it will repeat. too much coughing as well. kindly advice
Thanks for asking Healthcaremagic. Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways that causes periodic "attacks" of coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest tightness. I would advise to use salbutamol inhaler or salbutamol syrup 2mg/5ml. Give 5ml two times a day. Nebulization also works fine in asthma. It still the symptoms persist then give montelukast/ levicirtizine syrup 4mg/2.5 mg . give 5ml in the evening once daily. Protect your son from asthma triggers like Allergens (including dust, pollens, and furred animals) and cold air. Hope it helps. If you have any other queries/question please feel free to ask. Thanks and wish your son a healthy life.
