Suggest Treatment For Back Pain And Slight Arthritis

Hi, I have been having nagging mid back pain everyday for the past 12 months, MRI showed slight arthritis and slight herniated disk, the pain is worse when sitting, goes away when I stand up, exercise and not there when I sleep on my side. Its near impossible to sit without twitching or readjusting the sitting position every 5 minutes or getting up to relieve the discomfort. There is also this associated pain above the left eye socket. I have seen an optometrist and ruled out any optic nerve infection. I take two aleive's a day, it gives relief for a few hours but the nagging pain is constant. I have tried acupuncture, back massage, daily exercise, all provide temporary relief. I am at my wits end, what would you suggest I look into next?
