Suggest Treatment For Back Pain, Dribble And Cramp Cause After Intake Of Cipro
I've seen a doctor in the past month and a half and prescribed anitbiotics (cipro) for an enlarged prostate. I'm 44. The meds worked great but when I finished them I had the same symptoms as before such as dribbling, waiting to use the rest room, pressure sudden need to urinate as well as back pain. I've been on 4 does of the meds and when I get off of it I have pain in my back when I ejaculate even hours afterwards. It feels like a cramp is beginning to form but them it's just pain. What can I do to make this better? Is it a serious problem?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of prostate problem and taking Ciprofloxacin for the same with improvement but started again with dribbling, sudden pressure, pain in back and so on. I would advise you the following in such a case as you are 44 years and too young to have any enlarged prostate problems of old age. Get an Ultrasonography of the abdomen done. Culture and sensitivity of urine and semen. Per-rectal digital examination. Proper change-over to another antibiotic is needed. Plenty of oral fluids as Cipro is known to give crystalluria.
