Suggest Treatment For Back Pain Not Responding To NSAIDs And Thermal Therapy
I have back pain for about 2 weeks now.I saw my doctor for it. I thought it was no big deal and would get better. It is getting worse I cannot sleep on either of my sides now,it hurts to sleep on my sides. My back pain covers my entire spine from my lower spine into my neck and my shoulders.I am doing heat/ice at home, also a Tens unit,Ibuprofen,Muscle relaxers,Voltaren Gel.I am doing stretching exercises and I am overweight.I don t know what else to do.Are there more exercises I can be doing to help? Nothing I am doing is working for very long.I did not do anything to hurt my back.I get Botox and Nerve blocks for Migraines every 3 months.
It is a kind of neuropathic pain and response to normal analgesics will be poor. You can try analgesics like gabapentin which is quite effective for similar pain conditions. It is a prescription drug and you have to consult a pain physician for work up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
