Hi,
Noted your history of
breast reduction surgery, development of staph infection, lumps in armpit, pain in heel which you want to know whether plantar fascitis or due to staph infection as you have read somewhere.
The commonest cause of pain in heel is plantar fascitis and can be diagnosed by the following ways:
Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for proper clinical examination and X-ray or
MRI to confirm. Once confirmed please take further prescription based treatment.
Anti-inflammatory medicines and foot bath in warm supersaturated saline water helps a lot.
Adjust shoes and insoles as suitable for foot.
The big bumps in armpit are due to
lymph node enlargement due to bacterial infection and you are already under treatment. Please continue it.
Ultrasonography of the armpit and FNAC of the lymph node, send the sample for gram staining, culture and sensitivity;
blood culture and sensitivity help a lot a some cases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
