i am 24 years old.i have black discoloration on my feet..which gets aggravated in summer this problem started when i was in 6th standard..there is black discoloration in sides of my feet and on fingers...and get cleared in winter...previously i thought it is some allergy due to my footwear..but my mother also has the same tendency..but my condition is more severe...there is no pain..no sensation....
Hypermelanosis on your feet may be genetically inherited. It may be without any cause. As there is a history of similar hypermelanosis in your mother, it may be hereditary condition. In summer, due to sunexposure there may be tanning effect..that is why pigmentation might be exacerbated. It is a benign condition..does not require any treatment. Just..to prevent increase in color, take care to protect the feet from sun. You may apply pigment reducing cream containing kojic acid. Take glutathion and vitamin C tablets after consulting dermatologist. I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
